A departure from jewellery to an ornament.
 
A wood turned apple with a sterling silver arrow. Related to William Tell? or maybe its just me a longbow archer, playing around with an idea. But i do like it.
 
The first one i created was for my partner and is somewhat larger in size and was made with a brought wood turned apple. I then enquired with a local woodturner as to making me some more. I then found myself for the afternoon, learning all about woodturning and lathes and getting to create my own and very first woodturned apple!  That was a fun afternoon and the smell of the wood was great as the lathe worked away. Now for your apple and arrow, that same woodturner has created me some beautiful apples ( now mine was quite good but not quite ready for selling).
 
The sterling silver arrow is a solid arrow shaft. The arrow is in two pieces as any silver ornaments will tarnish over a period of time and this allows you to easily polish the arrow. The arrow bears my makers mark and is also hallmarkedby Birmingham Assay office. The arrow will be supplied with a small acylic cube which it can sit on, or alterntaivley perch the arrow on a shelf or fire place.

You will be purchasing the phtographed Apple and Arrow as each wooden apple is a different wood and grain. Of course the arrows also due to there handmade nature are all slighlty different too.
